The Tea Post 17 Cruise

Cruise to Mexico on the Breeze ship!

We spent two days on the boat heading to Cozumel, then stopped in Yucatan, and headed back to Texas!

Cozumel

On day 3 we got off the boat and took a tourist bus to the beach to snorkel and shop!

Dzibilchaltun in Yucatan

Day 4 we off-boarded in Mexico and went to see Aztec ruins! The museum is a Mayan archaeological site that has the Temple of the Dolls. It’s a pyramid base building, that tracks the Spring and Autumn equinox. When the sun’s rays pass through the doorways of the temple they know when to plant corn.

This site also has a chapel, which was a religious site. (The open-faced building.)

The largest building was the king’s home which we got to walk on!

The water pool is a cenote. One end is shallow but the deep end runs over 140 feet down! It continues down in a tunnel. No ones sure where the tunnels lead.

Merida

After the museum, we traveled to Merida and ate at a restaurant that served local Mayan dishes!

On the Boat

The hardest part of the cruise was not eating free pizza and soft serve 24/7. The cutest part was the crew left cute towel animal art in our rooms and around the ship. There were comedy shows, live violinists, concerts, gambling, Bingo, arcades, and far too much free food: buffet, dining rooms, and scattered ship restaurants!
